Transformation of Life
Understanding the intense corporation and raw competition between and within species as powerful evolutionary forces may be a key to our own survival.
English biologist Charles Darwin was a European man of his time. Like many of his peers, he was under the impression that white men were inherently superior to women and people of color.
Does the worldview of Darwin say anything about his theory and today’s evolutionary biology?
The English biologist discovered the fact that species better adapt to their environment over time by developing, modifying, repurposing, and losing inheritable characteristics. However, Darwin did not understand the mechanism behind how species change.
What Darwin did not know was genes and subsequently their mutation.
